CELEBRATE
CELEBRATE creates a platform for the Finnish-Arabic community to preserve, archive, and share their cultural heritage. The project documents traditions through a one-day event focused on UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage: dancing and singing as celebration.
Recordings, interviews, and performances will be archived at the Migration Institute of Finland.

CELEBRATE is an important step in preserving Finland’s Arabic communities’ rich heritage. By focusing on dance and song, as intangible heritage, CELEBRATE promotes sharing and connection across generations and communities. The Migration Institute of Finland is proud to be a project partner. The project’s materials will be archived in the Migration Institute of Finland’s Archive, marking an important milestone in our expansion to serve as the archive of Finnish immigration history.
